Cowboys legend Johnathan Thurston has re-ignited the hilarious feud with Nathan Hindmarsh. The two-time premiership winner couldn’t help but take to Instagram on the eve of the NRL grand final to stir the pot yet again. Thurston commented on a photo the NRL had shared of this year’s premiership rings, tagging Hindmarsh in the process – and it was brutal.
The underlying joke around Thurston’s comment – Hindmarsh has never won an NRL premiership, despite playing 330 games and a career that stretched 14 years. Hindmarsh has yet to respond to Thurston’s light-hearted sledge, but you can guarantee it will be good when he does. Rugby league fans couldn’t hide their hysterics over Thurston’s jab, responding on the post with a flurry of encouragement.
