Roosters star will play in the big game after being passed medically fit

Reports are swirling that Roosters star Cooper Cronk will indeed play in Sunday night’s NRL grand final after being cleared by doctors. News Corp journalists Pete Badel and Dean Ritchie are both hearing Cronk has been passed medically fit to play against his former Storm teammates in the big dance, despite carrying a serious shoulder injury.
Badel is reporting Cronk will still have the final call as to whether or not he eventually take the field, judging by how his shoulder is feeling in the final hours of preparation. A tough warm-up may end up being the test that decides Cronk’s fate. Seven reporter Chris Garry even went so far as suggesting Cronk’s non-participation in Friday’s training run was a ‘red herring’ by the Roosters.
